The Best Limo Movie Scenes

We’ve all dreamed of renting a luxury limousine and just doing whatever we want and in some of these movie scenes, you can see people doing just that. What the scenes also show is just how beautiful a luxury limo can be before you go to rent one. From the romantic to the hectic, here is some of the best limo movie scenes ever filmed.
2012
Dramatic car chase and escape from an oncoming disaster in a Lincoln town car? Yes, please! While we prefer this bit of drama to stay in the movies, there’s nothing quite as exciting as watching a luxury car get bashed to pieces in a race through one of the most famous cities on earth. John Cusack, starring as Jackson Curtis, is playing a sci-fi writer and part time limo driver on a race to rescue his kids and ex-wife. With crumbling buildings as part of the backdrop, Cusack and his family lift off in a small airplane just in time.
Dumb and Dumber
Definitely one of the sillier limousine scenes on this list, but certainly worth a look, is the scene from Dumb and Dumber starring Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels. The comedic duo get into all sorts of comical situations during the movie, but the scene where Jim Carrey, playing Lloyd Christmas, is working as a limo driver and stops to flirt with an Austrian woman is definitely a moment you won’t forget.
The Secret of My Success
The Secret of My Success was an 80’s era film (with title track song done by 80’s band Night ranger) starring Michael J. Fox as Brantley Foster. The limo scene begins when Foster borrows the company limo and takes it home with actress Helen Foster in tow as Christy Willis. Willis and Foster initially fight and the ride ends with a steamy seduction worthy of a blockbuster.
Home Alone 2: Lost in New York
While this is nothing anyone would want their kids to do, the scene from Home Alone 2 where Macaulay Culkin playing the precocious Kevin McCallister manages to use his father’s credit card and a bit of fast thinking to get a limo ride around New York City is a memorable one. Sadly real limo services won’t rent their vehicles out to kids without a parental signature; however the film shows what is possible if you can persuade your parents to get you one to take you to your prom or birthday party.
Cosmopolis
A 2012 film starring Robert Pattinson, Cosmopolis is based almost entirely in a luxury limousine. Pattinson stars as billionaire Eric Packer who uses the limo as his personal office. Unfortunately nothing good happens in the movie, but you do get to see a lot of one beautiful custom made limousine.
Pretty Woman
Richard Gere and Julia Roberts star in this box office smash as Vivian Ward and Edward Lewis and it’s more than just the limousine that makes this comedy romantic. The movie ends with one of the most romantic limo movie scenes ever as Edward’s chauffer drives him up beside Vivian’s house in a white limousine. Edward then proceeds to climb the fire escape with a bouquet of roses in his teeth.
There are plenty of great limo scenes in movies but nothing quite beats finding a limo hire company and renting one yourself. You can spoil yourself on your birthday or on your wedding day; although arguably you don’t really need a special occasion to take a ride in a luxury stretch limo. Of course, you do need a destination, an idea of what type of limo you want a ride in and hopefully a plan for the day or evening. From there you can join your favourite stars and ride in a luxury limousine.
