I know what you're thinking. You want to know everything there is to
know about the new movie, Spider Man 4. Well you and half the world who
is obsessesed with everything Spidey. Numerous rumors are flying around
about the newest installment of the human spider's adventures, but no
one really know for sure.
That said, we do know that the new movie will be released in May,
2011 and a new official poster for the movie has been created and is
floating around on the web. The poster tells us pretty much nothing at
all. It is just the backdrop of New York City with the web and the
number 4 in the middle. At the bottom, there is a the date, May 5, 2011.
We also know that the rumor mill has coalesced around the idea that
the newest villain will be none other than Professor Curt Connors, the
one armed man who became a mentor to Peter Parker in the comic book
series before he did something foolish, taking a serum intended to
regrow his arm. It turned him into the Lizard, a half man, half human
creature with a real burning hatred for the friendly neighborhood Spider
Man.
Also possibly on tap for the movie Spider Man 4 is Carnage, a more
recent addition to the Spidey universe who first appeared in The Amazing
Spider Man # 344 in 1991. Carnage is a more interesting character than
most since he is a serial killer. In the comic book series, Carnage is
Cletus Kasady. He was a troubled boy (to say the least) who killed his
grandmother by tossing her down a flight of stairs.
He then tortured his mother's dog before the dog turned on him and
tried to kill him. Kasady was sent off to live in the St. Estes home for
troubled boys where his fate as a serial killer was completed. He
reportedly killed a girl who refused to date him by pushing her in front
of a bus.
In what will be sure to delight the fans of Venom (then again, if you
love the character, you probably knew this already), Kasady bonds with
Venom's offspring and thereby becomes Carnage, a creature with an
intense hatred for Spider Man and everything he represents.
So will these predictions come true or will we all be surprised? The
only way to know for sure is to wait until May, 2011 when the movie
Spider Man 4 will hit theaters.
